Jessica Lancaster

This custom painted make-your-own ukulele was a personal project begun during the COVID shutdown. Music has always been in my bones, as both of my parents were music majors in college and I was long ago a chorus girl (and wannabe guitar player). In creating this piece, I was really inspired by Swiss folk art. I assembled, sanded, stained the neck, painted the body, strung and finally tuned this ukulele to be a functional piece of art.
